Fancy getting your feet wet! There are a huge variety of ways to have fun in the water. Try some of these out! :
Water polo:
Think of this as hockey in water! Each team has six field players and one goalkeeper. To score, just throw the ball into the net. Easier said than done though!
Try it if you’re looking for a fast paced, strategic, and above all fun team-based water game.
Bodyboarding :
Can’t surf? Try bodyboarding! Bodyboards, sometimes called “boogieboards” are much shorter than surfboard and made out of foam.
There are different types of foam that give different degrees of flex and control for the rider. Since bodyboarders usually lie in a prone position, it’s much easier to get a hang of than surfing.
Snorkelling:
If you’re lucky to find yourself in the Caribbean or some other tropical paradise, be sure to check out the wealth of life and colours underneath the waves.
Scuba diving:
If you want to take a closer, deeper look…strap on a mouthpiece and a tank.
It can be truly amazing what’ll you find underwater. It almost seems alien at times.
Windsurfing:
A hybrid surfing and sailing, windsurfing combines the excitement and the relaxation of these two experiences together into a uniquely exhilerating package.
Water skiing and wake boarding:
Although clenching onto a speeding jetski with a rope may seem a terrifying propect at first, you’ll be amazed at how quickly it seems so natural. Like riding a bike…on water!
If you’re looking for some speed and intense adrenaline pumping action, grab on tight and enjoy!
Hobiecats
If you’re looking something a little more grounded, but still want to cruise the waves, try hopping on one of these great little sea-going sailboats.
You’ll get the hang of how to use them in no time, and they’re a real pleasure to ride.
Kayaking
If you’re looking to give your arms some exercise too, then try kayaking.
There are a variety of ways to enjoy this, from the exhilarating rollercoaster ride of kayaking in rapids, to the more leisurely pace of kayaking in the sea.
